Celebrate 175 years of stories, community, and connection as the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library kicks off its yearlong anniversary celebration, Building Stories Together for 175 Years.
Join us on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the C.S. Mott Foundation Community Room for a special opening event featuring a live performance by the beloved folk group Mustard’s Retreat. Known for their warm, engaging sound and storytelling through music, Mustard’s Retreat will help set the tone for a year filled with celebration.
Guests can enjoy music, light refreshments, and giveaways while connecting with neighbors and reflecting on the Library’s rich history and bright future. This kickoff event marks the beginning of a full year of programs, performances, and community celebrations honoring 175 years of service to Flint.
All ages are welcome. Come be part of the story as we celebrate the past, present, and future of your library.
