Private rooms support patient and family care.\nThey give the patient and family a pleasant and personal\nspace\, and a sense of having some control over their\nexperiences in the hospital.\n\nWe know that private rooms do contribute significantly\nin improving patient’s emotional and psychological\nwell-being during a hospital stay. Because private rooms\nreduce hospital-acquired infections\, falls and other clinical\nchallenges\, patients in these rooms have shorter stays\,\nwhich in and of itself is surely and emotional and\npsychological benefit.
