DESCRIPTION:COVID-19 Update\n\nIn order to keep with the social distancing guidelines\, the Burton Memorial Day race will be transferred to a virtual race. We are understanding of the situation many people are in with the loss of income\, and with that we have decided to give back to the community by making the event completely free. The committee wants to encourage everyone to get outside and continue training while still adhering to the 6 ft guidelines. Holding the event virtually will allow everyone to still qualify for the Burton Race Series by completing 3 out of the 4 events. You must submit your results online to qualify. The window for submitting results will be from May 25\, 2020 to June 25\, 2020. With businesses being shut down\, we will not be able to provide shirts or medals. However\, with the decision to make the event free\, the hope is that sharing our pictures and videos\, we can still create the community atmosphere to push others to stay healthy. With that\, please SHARE your running and walking pictures and videos with the hashtags #runsaferunsolo\, #runburton\, #walksafewalksolo. ANYONE THAT IS ALREADY REGISTERED WILL BE RECEIVING A REFUND. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY PAPER ENTRIES TO CITY HALL. Thank you for your understanding.
