DESCRIPTION:Peckham\, Inc. and the Capital Region Airport Authority have commissioned The Gateway to Inclusion\, a visual representation of the greater Lansing area as a diverse and inclusive region that represents and respects all individuals. \n\n\n\nThis large-scale public installation features artwork created by a diverse group of Peckham clients that signifies the variety of ability and culture found in the Lansing community. Designed and fabricated by artist\, Ivan Iler\, this innovative\, site-specific sculpture creates new opportunities for community engagement\, lessens the social stigma experienced by individuals with disabilities\, fosters a sense of neighborhood identity\, and enhances visitors' experience of the capital region.
