DESCRIPTION:The Genesee Intermediate School District welcomes parents\, students\, and the community to an Open House at the Genesee Career Institute (GCI). The Open House will be held Thursday\, January 26\, 2017\, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. GCI is located at G5081 Torrey Road\, Flint\, Michigan 48507. Current students\, teachers\, and administrative staff will be present to highlight all of the programs that GCI offers. Tenth and eleventh grade students and their parents are especially encouraged to attend the Open House and explore all of the 25-plus Genesee Career Institute program areas that incorporate the latest technology. They will meet instructors\, college and business representatives\, and GCI students from a variety of career areas\, see displays and demonstrations\, and visit classrooms and labs to help get an idea of what it would be like to attend GCI for the 2017-2018 school year. There are many exciting program areas to check out including forensics\, medicine\, automotive\, construction\, STEM\, and more!
