SUMMARY:Mid-Michigan Nonprofit Professionals Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the next Mid-Michigan Nonprofit Professionals meeting on Thursday June 4\, from 8:30 - 10 a.m. at ELGA Credit Union! \n\n\n\nGuest Presenter: Paul Wenstrom\, retired wealth management financial advisor\, community & civic leader\, and board member\n\n\n\nTopic: Best practices in giving to nonprofit organizations\, and as nonprofit professionals - You are giving the gift\n\n\n\nPaul's heart has always led to helping people support our community and advance the missions of our many nonprofit organizations. Throughout his 54-year career at Merrill Lynch\, Paul advised Genesee County families and organizations on how to best manage their financial resources and plan for their financial future. He received much satisfaction in seeing the contributions of his clients make a positive difference in organizations that were important to them. He has also had great fulfillment in volunteering and being on the boards of local organizations and helping carry out their missions. Molding these two interests together\, Paul's passion was helping clients fulfill their charitable interests and philanthropic pursuits. The experience of listening to clients express their feelings about why they were called to help organizations by giving their time\, skills\, and financial resources led him to create his 'Give Smart' presentation. He has shared this program with his donor clients\, local nonprofit leaders\, and their board members. We now look forward to having Paul share his expertise to our group.\n\n\n\nWe hope you can join us! \n\n\n\n\nYou may also bring any materials to put on our new "Resource Table" you wish to share with the group. \n\n\n\nThis group brings nonprofit executives and development leaders together to support the sustainability and impact of nonprofit organizations that serve the needs and culture of our region's residents. The MMNP bi-monthly meetings create opportunities for friendly networking\, collaboration\, and insights from seasoned experts.\n\n\n\nLight refreshments and beverages will be provided\, thanks to our friends at ELGA Credit Union. This meeting is free and open to Chamber members and non-members\, and is exclusively open to employees and board members of nonprofit organizations. To help our hosts plan\, please pre-register online. We will see you there!
