DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with the Arab American National Museum and the Flint Institute of Arts\, the AAHC will be hosting the annual Film Festival featuring two short films and a discussion followed by a featured film.\n\n\nThe following films will be shown: \n\n\n\nThe Insult (Feature) : "In today's Beirut\, a civilian dispute blown out of proportion finds Tony (Adel Karam)\, a Lebanese Christian\, and Yasser (Kamel El Basha)\, a Palestinian refugee\, facing off in court. As the media circus surrounding the case threatens a social explosion in divided Lebanon\, Tony and Yasser reconsider their values and beliefs as revelations of trauma complicate their understanding of one another."\n\n\n\nSearching Skies (Short) : "When a Syrian refugee family is invited to a Christian family's house for Christmas dinner\, they are caught between opposing viewpoints for and against their presence -- until an unexpected event suddenly occurs."\n\n\n\nRupture (Short) : "Rupture follows the journey of four Arab teens on their quest to find the local public pool in their new Canadian city. Introducing a cast of first time actors and survivors of war who channel their personal experiences of loss and new beginnings through a fictional narrative."\n\n \n\nFor more information visit flintarts.org.
