Join us Thursday, December 18, 2025, for the second film in Communities First, Inc.’s 11th Annual African American Film Series — Sing Sing. Based on true events, Sing Sing follows Divine G, a man wrongfully imprisoned in the notorious men’s prison, who finds healing and purpose through a transformative theatre program that fosters creativity, empathy, and hope among inmates. The evening takes place at the Flint Institute of Arts, 1120 E. Kearsley St., Flint, MI 48503, with dinner and live music beginning at 5:30 PM, the film screening at 6:45 PM, and a discussion panel afterward. The event is free, with a suggested $5 donation.
