Local companies seeking new markets in which to grow their business should attend the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming business workshop, Expanding Into New Markets; Resources to Increase Sales. This free event takes place Thursday, May 7, from 8-9:30 a.m., at the Mott Boardroom on the first floor of the Mott Foundation Building, 519 S. Saginaw St., in Flint. Participants will gain valuable insight from Michigan Economic Development Corp. (MEDC) experts in several topics: bid proposal writing services; Pure Michigan Business Connect; Economic Gardening; and export assistance. Representatives from the I-69 Thumb Region Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) also will be present to discuss the ins-and-outs of government contracting. Pre-event registration is required and space is limited. Light refreshments provided.
