There are a significant number of people with disabilities in Genesee County who earnestly want to find a career, and creating accommodations is often easier than you might expect. October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, and we are excited to feature a couple of dynamic experts in helping businesses find the right accommodations and fill their open positions. You’ll hear from Chris Gilbert, of Michigan Rehabilitation Services, and Jessica Dixon of The Disability Network, talk about their efforts to help people with disabilities and businesses in the area. They work hard to find the right fit with businesses and people, helping them become valuable, productive and loyal employees.
