Today’s business owners are subject to laws and regulations that are constantly changing on local, state and federal levels. Owners in violation of these laws could face penalties including fines, lawsuits and even the loss of their businesses. This training series aims to help professionals understand which requirements apply to them and the potential consequences of noncompliance.
Failing to understand employment laws can expose employers to serious risk. This training session will cover some of the most common mistakes and misconceptions made in the areas of wage and hour laws, discrimination, discipline, recordkeeping and claims and liability.
There is no cost for this training, but registration is required.
This training will be held at Baker College in Room S128 of the Technology Building.
