Description
Please join East and West Michigan APEX Accelerators, in collaboration with the Michigan Alliance of APEX Accelerators for an IBAS webinar, featuring special guest Dr. Kristin Schaaf, Acting Director of Innovation Capability and Modernization.
The Innovation Capability and Modernization (ICAM) office manages and executes the Department’s Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program element, which aims to improve the readiness and competitiveness of the U.S. industrial base by establishing high priority domestic capabilities for new supply chains needed for national security and mitigating exposure to global supply chain risks. ICAM authorities enable the DoD to:
- Monitor and assess the current state of the DIB
- Address critical issues across the DIB related to urgent operational needs
- Address supply chain vulnerabilities
- Support efforts to expand the DIB
Mission
Strengthen the competitive posture of the U.S. Defense Industrial Base in the era of global competition.
Vision
To ensure a modern U.S. defense industrial base that fortifies traditional technical capabilities and forges emerging sectors to respond at will to national security requirements.
