Disability Works Community Meeting

Join us for the September 2026 Community Meeting of the Disability Works Committee! We are excited to be hosted by our friends at Meijer, at their Center Rd. store in Burton. We strongly recommend you invite the hiring and HR professionals in your business to join us for this meeting. The first part of our gathering will feature the different perspectives of employers who have hired people with disabilities, and we'll focus on the nuts and bolts of hiring. The second half of our gathering will give you the opportunity to connect with each other, asking questions and sharing experiences on specific issues related to hiring practices for people with disabilities.  If you are an employer who hires or is thinking of hiring people with disabilities, you'll come away with great ideas to help you and your employees. The Disability Works Committee is a multi-organizational collaborative focused on making it easier for employers to hire and retain people with disabilities, and helping people with disabilities find meaningful employment. 

This event is free and open to all employers and community partners throughout Flint & Genesee. Thanks to our hosts at Meijer, a light breakfast will be provided.
