About Us

The Mass Transportation Authority is the agency authorized to provide public transportation services in Flint and Genesee County. The MTA's services include fixed primary routes, peak routes (running only during designated times), Your Ride services, specialized services for elderly and persons with disabilities and work related transportation. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Located on the MTA campus on Dort Hwy is the Amtrak and Indian trails station.

The Robert J. Foy Administration building is located on Dort Hwy, just north of I-69 overpass.
MTA Your Ride facilities can be found in Clio/Mt. Morris, Davison, Fenton, Flushing, Grand Blanc, and Swartz Creek.
MTA's Grand Blanc location houses Your Ride, as well as the MTA's Alternative Fuel Facility.
The MTA's downtown Flint Transportation Center is more than just a transfer center-it is a community center. Over 17,000 people pass through the center daily.

In 2016, the MTA purchased bluebird vehicles.
Introduced in 2016, the MTA's Ride to Groceries vehicle takes shoppers to Kroger on Center and Davison Road, and to Walmart on Court Street as well as to the MTA Transportation Center.
The Ride to Groceries program has been expanded to service all of Genesee County.
