Description
Join the African American Advisory Committee for our August meeting on Friday, Aug. 21, from 9-10:30am! We are thrilled to feature brief presentations from a number of individuals who participated in the 2026 AAAC Growth Lab program, made possible by our friends at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. We'll be at the Berston Field House in Flint.
About the AAAC Growth Lab: Since the beginning of July, a select number of entrepreneurs have participated in an intensive startup program, designed to boost their business into the next level of sustainable success. Participants were immersed in hands-on sessions featuring subject matter experts on a variety of business functions and strategic planning practices. You won't want to miss hearing about the life-changing lessons they learned and breakthroughs they made during the Growth Labs.
If you’re not familiar with the AAAC, it’s a great resource for black entrepreneurs, business owners and leaders, and supporters of the black business community here in Flint & Genesee. It’s an incredibly supportive group for people starting and growing businesses and/or becoming leaders in their field. Between the conversations, coffee, and relevant information, it’s an hour very well spent.
These monthly AAAC gatherings are a great way to connect with fellow entrepreneurs and business leaders to identify opportunities and address common challenges among Black-owned businesses. Bring your business cards and ideas!
The AAAC supports the growth and success of Black-owned businesses in Genesee County. Business owners, professionals, community partners, and supporters are welcome to participate in AAAC activities. The AAAC serves as the liaison between the region's growing African American business community and the Flint & Genesee Chamber. AAAC members partner with the Chamber to support the advancement and development of African American businesses.
Please join the AAAC the Fourth Friday of each month for informational and networking meetings. Locations vary from month-to-month to highlight different businesses and supporting partners in the area, and a virtual option will be offered when possible. Meeting agendas will focus on connecting people to needed resources, engaging with community leaders, and networking.
