Description
Enjoy an evening full of food, art, entertainment, and a live film viewing of 'Farming While Black' as part of the 10th Annual African American Film Series by Communities First, Inc. Doors open at 5:30pm for dinner and free admission to the galleries at the Flint Institute of Arts. The film begins at 6:45pm. on Thursday, Dec. 19.
'Farming While Black' is a feature-length documentary film which examines the historical plight of Black farmers in the United States and the rising generation reclaiming their rightful ownership to land and reconnecting with their ancestral roots.
A film discussion will take place directly after the movie with agriculture experts. The entire event is free, but donations are accepted.
