The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce invites you to the first session in their 2016 Crim Training Series.  This session, Mindfulness I, will focus on being mindful of New Year’s Resolutions.
Mindfulness is a powerful tool we can apply to help us enjoy life more, bring more awareness to our goals, and deal with stress in more positive ways--all of which are essential to health and wellness. In this short session, we will show how mindfulness can be used in the context of our New Year’s Resolutions.  We will discuss the benefits of and try mindful breathing.  We will try mindful tasting to slow down, enjoy our food, and eat less.  We will learn how to use mindful movement during physical activities to help bring more awareness and enjoyment to our exercise routines.  We will further explore mindful movement with a short, gentle yoga practice. All of these aspects of mindfulness practice can enhance your existing wellness plan (or help you get started on a plan!) and help manage stress, which are great ways to improve health.
Facilitators for today's session will be Tom Hauer and Jamie Florida.
There is no cost for this session, but space is limited.
