Description
With over 34 historic structures, go back to a time when things were a whole lot simpler at this authentic Great Lakes town from the turn of the century. Ride the Huckleberry Railroad, take a scenic ride on the Genesee Belle, a replica of the paddlewheel riverboats that were popular during Mark Twain's time, catch a show at the Colwell Opera House or learn a trade from one of the Village's craftspeople. This weekend, come celebrate "The 19th Century Professionals of Crossroads Village." Guests can meet the people who have kept the Village residents prosperous, healthy and wise in the 1800's - the banker, doctor, dentist and lawyer. Learn about the 19th century dispute that had the whole Village talking. Crossroads Village is open Wednesday - Sunday, May 23 - September 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays unless otherwise mentioned. The Village is closed on Monday & Tuesday. For a detailed schedule of activities and upcoming weekend themes visit www.geneseecountyparks.org.
