I am currently serving as the AmeriCorps VISTA (volunteers in service to America) member serving one term at The Y. I currently assist the membership, marketing, annual giving, and special events directors by completing projects that support both the mission of an AmeriCorps VISTA and as staff of the Y. The mission of the Y is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
My role as an AmeriCorps VISTA aligns with this mission. The four key principles applied to all VISTA projects are ending poverty, empowering communities, building capacity, and sustainable solutions.
