Claressa Shields, Women's Olympic Gold Middleweight Boxer, will challenge Canadian Alison Greey, of the Windsor Amateur Boxing Club, in a bout at the Connie and Jim John Recreation Center at Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. This is the first hometown bout for Shields since her Gold Medal win at the 2012 Olympics. In addition to the main event, the showcase event will feature 10 to 12 bouts between amateur boxers from the Flint area and boxing clubs from neighboring states. Also, Shields, Chris Byrd, 1992 Silver Medalist and Andre Dirrell, 2004 Bronze Medalist, will be recognized in a boxing showcase "A Salute to Flint's Olympic Boxing Champions." Box Office and doors open at 6 p.m. with matches beginning at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $40 for VIP seating and $20 general admission. Proceeds will benefit the Claressa Shields Youth Foundation.
