The digital space for marketing has disrupted small, local businesses for better or worse. Join AMA Detroit and Dr. Syagnik Banerjee, Professor of Marketing from the University of Michigan-Flint for a deep dive into the effects of local and national advertising strategies in different mediums (TV, Search, & Social). Dr. Banerjee uses the physical movement of store visitors from cell phone GPS data to build valuable insights, useful for creating future marketing initiatives.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Syagnik Banerjee
Syagnik Banerjee studies the impact of mobile devices on consumer behavior and on the processing of signals emerging from location-based Social Media posts. He teaches a MBA class on digital marketing and Big Data and collaborates with researchers from Business, GIS and Computer Science. Some of his recent works include:
